Kastoria

Many people know Kastoria only for its famous furs, but in reality, it's a city with a long and important history, full of life and with magnificent natural beauties.

Built on the "neck" of the hilly peninsula, that extends into the lake , the city was found and walled at the Justinian years, at the same position with the ancient city called Keletron. An evidence of the wellbeing of the city of Kastoria are its more than 70 byzantine and postbyzantine churches and also its grand mansions.
